Rising Tide

The message of this event is to increase public awareness about the impacts of rising sea levels on the Northern Beaches. This page will be developed to give a graphic impressions of what the coming rising tides will mean for us.

As a first step we have included this flood map which can show you what we lose at various levels of rising sea levels. Personally, I'm looking for something around a 20 foot sea rise by 2050. This link takes you to Narabeen with a 7 meter rise:

As you can see we'll need a new coast road by the sea as the bridge will be under water along with Rat Park! Play with your own setting and get a feel for what we are up against.
